There never seems to be enough hours in the day, and this especially rings true during the holidays. Between gift-wrapping, hosting and attending get-togethers, indulging in delicious foods and spending as many moments with loved ones as possible, there’s little time to perfect our party looks.

Not to worry! We have the keys to fabulous holiday hair: ‘dos that are simple to style and accessories that make them festive in a flash. This combination is foolproof and will make you the best tressed at any holiday soiree. From a textured natural ponytail to an easy French twist, just follow our easy styling tips below and complete the look with glam hair accessories. We suggest crystal crowns, sparkling flower hair clips or barrettes, glittery headbands, velvet ribbons and bows… ‘Tis the season to go all out!

Fake a blowout.

Our Voluminous Dry Shampoo is one of our holiday saviors, and the reason is three-fold. First, it absorbs excess oil to make it look like you just stepped out of the salon. Second, it gives freshly-washed strands some grip, which is just what’s needed to make hair hold a curl or to effortlessly pull tresses into party-ready ponies and low buns. Third, it adds gorgeous volume.

Just twist open the cap, then shake and squeeze the bottle to spray evenly at roots, parting hair in sections and holding the bottle at least eight inches away. Use your fingers or a comb to work into strands, and let the cassava starch and cosmetic clay work their lifting and thickening magic.

Create gorgeous texture.

How about a simple chic style? Create a Freestyle Ponytail! Use our Freestyle Texturizer to create definition, starting with the roots and the underside of your hair. Next, put it on the ends, working in small sections and twisting as you go. Gather hair into a low ponytail, and use a curling iron to create loose waves or curls. Top it off with a sparkling crown or velvet bow for brilliant holiday style.

Hold it in place.

A French twist is a classic—and easier to achieve than you might think! Backcomb at the roots to boost volume, gather hair as if you’re going to do a ponytail, then start twisting. Pull the twist upward, shaping and loosening hair as you go, and secure with bobby pins. Fold and tuck excess hair into the twist with bobby pins. Spray your ‘do with our Defining Hair Spray, a non-aerosol hairspray with organic sugar cane to set hold. Finish with festive French twist accessories: sparkly clips or barrettes to catch the light all night long.
