How to use

Can I use the Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner if I have fine hair?

While our products can be used across all hair types, the Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner is best suited for medium to thick hair with curly or coily texutre. There are a range of products that are better suited for those with finer hair. We recommend products like our Voluminous Essential Hair Care Set - a great set for anyone with fine hair looking to add volume and bounce.

Overall, our products are very concentrated so we always recommend that first time users try a smaller amount, especially with an oil like our Legendary Amazon Oil. Less is more!

Does Rahua® have any products for thick curly, coily, or textured hair?

Yes! We have a curated collection of products perfect for thicker or textured hair types. We recommend using heavier and more moisturizing products to help better form curl patterns and protect dry hair.

Our Hydration Essential Hair Care Set is a great option for daily or weekly use, depending on your hair type and needs, helping to layer and retain moisture. Pre-wash treatments like our Hydration Hair Mask or Enchanted Island Vegan Curl Butter are also options to help layer moisture on stubbornly dry hair or textured hair.

Does Rahua® use parabens in the products? Sulfates? Silicones? Phthalates?

Rahua is paraben-free, sulfate-free, silicone-free and phthalate-free! Our formulas use plant-powered surfactants that are gentle on the skin and scalp while still cleansing thoroughly. You may not see an immediate voluminous lather with natural shampoos. Our shampoos do their job by clinging to oil and dirt and sliding away with the flow of water. 

What can I expect when first trying Rahua® products?

If Rahua is your first foray into natural hair care, you will see an immediate difference in experience with our products. Instead of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfates, a common cleanser added to a wide range of shampoos), our ingredient list is made up of plant-powered surfactants that are gentle on the skin and scalp while still cleansing thoroughly. You may not see an immediate voluminous lather with natural shampoos. Our shampoos do their job by clinging to oil and dirt and sliding away with the flow of water. 

If you’re used to using SLS or silicones, there will be an adjustment period as your hair acclimates to the lighter lather and while washing away any prior buildup. Our products are crafted with non-toxic, plant-based botanicals and with minimal impact on the environment.

    Definitely hydrating!

    My favorite

    I love this shampoo and conditioner so much, it’s so nice to have a shampoo and conditioner that works so well , is safe to use and doesn’t have any toxic chemicals or fragrance in it, and it also smells good. I also love the larger size that has the pump, I use the larger size for home and the smaller size for traveling. Thank you for making such a great product.

    This conditioner and shampoo are my favorite hair products. My hair is wavy and porous- it needs humidity for curl. So many products block humidity with silicones etc. If i need extra conditioning i apply this and use a plastic cap. Its just as effective to moisturize as all those heavy hair masks the just coat your hair with chemicals and the cones. The fragrance is subtle and does not linger on the hair. I truly hate being overpowered by heavy perfumed hair products. It smells alittle like mango and vanilla. Love this stuff and love not drenching and coating my hair with a million chemicals and silicones
