How to use

Can I use the Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner if I have fine hair?

While our products can be used across all hair types, the Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner is best suited for medium to thick hair with curly or coily texutre. There are a range of products that are better suited for those with finer hair. We recommend products like our Voluminous Essential Hair Care Set - a great set for anyone with fine hair looking to add volume and bounce.

Overall, our products are very concentrated so we always recommend that first time users try a smaller amount, especially with an oil like our Legendary Amazon Oil. Less is more!

Does Rahua® use parabens in the products? Sulfates? Silicones? Phthalates?

Rahua is paraben-free, sulfate-free, silicone-free and phthalate-free! Our formulas use plant-powered surfactants that are gentle on the skin and scalp while still cleansing thoroughly. You may not see an immediate voluminous lather with natural shampoos. Our shampoos do their job by clinging to oil and dirt and sliding away with the flow of water. 

Does sulfate-free shampoo really clean your hair?

It does! Our sulfate-free shampoos create a natural lather from gentle, plant-powered surfactants. They lift away buildup and impurities without disrupting your hair’s natural balance, helping maintain softness, shine, and a healthy scalp microbiome.

Why doesn’t my shampoo lather well?

If you are new to plant-powered, sulfate-free hair care, you may not see a voluminous lather upon use. Our shampoos do their job by clinging to oil and dirt and sliding away with the flow of water so rest assured that even without the lather, our shampoos are cleansing your hair and scalp!

    great shampoo, but the bottle cap

    I love this shampoo, it has changed my curly gray hair. It's moisturizing but doesn't make it limp or greasy. Cream rinse, perfect, too. Now use the de-tangler and Control Cream Curl Styler, both lovely. No medicinal or weird odors, which many have. Love that nasty chemicals aren't in the mix. However, the cap on the 9.3 oz bottle is dysfunctional. Contacted them yesterday - waiting to hear what Rahua's solution is. I might've purchased the larger size (which has a pump) if I'd known, but wasn't sure it would fit on shower shelf. Cap needs a redesign. What do you think Rahua?

    Love everything about this set!

    I had been using another hair brand for a while and enjoyed the results but was starting to feel uneasy about the ingredients, so I decided to make the switch to rahua. I am completely obsessed with this scent, the ethical resourcing of the product, and the texture of the hair care. The only thing I don't love is that the bottles are very hard and it makes it difficult to squeeze sometimes. Otherwise, I am very happy with my switch!!

    I was hoping my hair would be happier- it happened. I will be ordering both the shampoo and conditioner in larger sizes now. Love the fragrance, too. I have gray very curly hair.     Very good sulfate free shampoo

    The shampoo cleans your hair well without drying it out. The scent is soft and a little fruity, but not overwhelming at all. I have fine, somewhat thin, wavy/straight hair. I don't color or use heat at all. It's a little difficult to work into the hair, but I also have very hard water here. Working it in a section at a time (on the scalp) and a quick dunk under the water helps a lot.
