When we refreshed our look and logo back in April 2025, we carefully crafted every detail to honor our heritage and mission of preserving the Amazon rainforest while ensuring Rahua remains relevant and impactful for generations to come.

As a natural next step, we tackled how we display our products to the world. The unveiling of Rahua's updated packaging marks the beginning of a new era. This evolution showcases Rahua in a new light allowing more of the world to discover transformative plant forward beauty experiences.

What products are compatible with the Classic Essential Hair Care Set?

Our Classic Shampoo and Conditioner is a perfect duo for all hair types, especially those who are looking to strengthen strands and balance the scalp. To maximize the effects of the Classic duo, use our Founder's Blend Scalp & Hair Treatment as a prewash treatment to help soothe and stimulate the scalp.

After using the Classic Essential Hair Care Set and towel-drying your hair, follow up with the Leave In Treatment (or Leave In Treatment Light for those with finer hair) to help tame frizz and lock in moisture.

To give your hair boosted shine and keep your hair hydrated throughout the day, the Legendary Amazon Oil is the perfect finishing and styling oil. Our products are very versatile and layer well with each other so we always encourage our community to mix and match to find your perfect routine.

Does Rahua® use parabens in the products? Sulfates? Silicones? Phthalates?

Rahua is paraben-free, sulfate-free, silicone-free and phthalate-free! Our formulas use plant-powered surfactants that are gentle on the skin and scalp while still cleansing thoroughly. You may not see an immediate voluminous lather with natural shampoos. Our shampoos do their job by clinging to oil and dirt and sliding away with the flow of water. 

What can I expect during the transition from conventional to sulfate-free hair care?

Some people experience an adjustment period (usually 4-6 weeks) when moving from conventional to sulfate-free shampoos. Your hair may feel different for the first few washes as your scalp rebalances to a gentler formula. Be patient, within a few consistent uses, you’ll discover healthier, stronger, more naturally beautiful hair.

Why doesn’t my shampoo lather well?

If you are new to plant-powered, sulfate-free hair care, you may not see a voluminous lather upon use. Our shampoos do their job by clinging to oil and dirt and sliding away with the flow of water so rest assured that even without the lather, our shampoos are cleansing your hair and scalp!

Does sulfate-free shampoo really clean your hair?

It does! Our sulfate-free shampoos create a natural lather from gentle, plant-powered surfactants. They lift away buildup and impurities without disrupting your hair’s natural balance, helping maintain softness, shine, and a healthy scalp microbiome.

My hair is fine, will Rahua® products weigh my hair down?

While our products can be used across all hair types, there are a range of products that are better suited for those with finer hair. We recommend products like our Voluminous Essential Hair Care Set - a great set for anyone with fine hair looking to add volume and bounce. We also have an alternate, lighter version of our best selling treatment, Leave-In Treatment Light, to help those who want hydration without the weight.

Overall, our products are very concentrated so we always recommend that first time users try a smaller amount, especially with an oil like our Legendary Amazon Oil. Less is more!

    The world's best shampoo

    I'm completely obsessed with this shampoo (and conditioner). I used it for many years and then decided to "save some money" and try something else but I realised no other product compares to Rahua's classic and hydration shampoos. I'm definitely back and not going anywhere this time.

    I have super dry hair and I feel like this shampoo cleans it so so well (even if I was oiling prior to washing) without drying it out at all. It also smells divine. I converted my mum to Rahua too and she can't use anything else since!

    I’ve used these for about 3 weeks now and I’m so happy with how my hair is looking and feeling. I have a lot of baby hairs and grays from being postpartum and perimenopausal and I don’t notice nearly as many sticking up hairs and it all feels much softer. I pivoted to rahua because I like other high end “green” hair care lines, but rahua is my new favorite. Pictured here the day after washing, haven’t brushed in hours. Still shining and soft and not greasy. I’ve noticed I can go a bit longer between shampoos with it compared to my past shampoo.
